Situated north of Naples in the Campania region of Italy lies the beach at Capo Miseno. It does get busy with tourists during the busy summer months so there may well be surfing restrictions/zones in place during this time.
The beach at Capo Miseno is a large sandy beach with a few rocks on the shoreline. To get here you will need to drive to Miseno from the town of Baccoli. The beach is south facing and you will find it near the cliffs at the cape. There is ample parking available. The main wind directions are west northwest and east southeast and both of these directions although sideshore, work pretty well here. The water quality is clean and the shallow water gives access to choppy conditions with small to medium waves of up to 3 metres in height. The water temperature remains somewhere between 12-26 degrees depending upon the time of the year, so you may need to suit up accordingly.
The beach itself has parking and toilet facilities. There is also the occasional eatery dotted along this stretch of coast if you're feeling a little peckish. The nearest town is Miseno itself or Baccoli. Each has a good selection of shops, bars, restaurants and accommodation. If you want something a little more lively, then the city of Naples isn't all that far away.
Main wind direction is SE S W SW, wind range 15-30 knots with waves
